Jersey Journal: Victims of Sandy will benefit from National Dine Out

There was plenty of “Jersey” star power at Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop yesterday afternoon.
To promote National Dine Out Day, New Jersey First Lady Mary Pat Christie visited the Hoboken bakery made famous by the “Cake Boss” reality television show and its star, Buddy Valastro Jr.
In front of a crowd of customers at the Washington Street bakery, Christie and Valastro discussed the Dine Out event, which is raising money for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
“We know how much devastation came all over New Jersey,” said Valastro, whose Hoboken bakery lost a considerable amount of business after the October superstorm left much of Hoboken underwater.
“That’s why we’re getting involved with National Dine Out Day. We’re going to rebuild bigger and better,” he said.
