Asbury Park Press: Bradley to Advise Hurricane Relief Fund
Charles Webster | Asbury Park Press
Former U.S. Sen. Bill Bradley has been named honorary vice chairman of The Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund and will serve as an adviser to the fund, officials announced Thursday.
"It is an honor to be given the opportunity to help New Jersey recover and rebuild," Bradley said. "Like so many Americans touched by the events of Sandy, I am committed to assisting communities that were devastated by the storm."
"I look forward to working closely with Senator Bradley in order to deliver vital resources to New Jersey families, neighborhoods and communities that were affected by the storm," said New Jersey first lady Mary Pat Christie, chairwoman of the relief fund.
To date, the fund has collected $1.24 million online from over 7,000 donors nationwide in less than two weeks.
